The NH Research 4600-24 AC Electronic Load is a sophisticated testing instrument engineered for applications requiring linear and non-linear AC loading with precise control over power and crest factors. This electronic load has a 24 kW power capacity, which allows it to function between 50 and 350 V with a maximum current of 240 A. With the purpose of verifying their dependability in a range of field operating scenarios, it is intended for the thorough testing of goods including uninterruptible power supply (UPS), AC sources, inverters, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, and connections.
The 4600-24 AC Electronic Load has seven emulation modes: Constant Current (CC), Constant Resistance (CR), Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Power (CP), Short Circuit (SC), Unity Power Factor (UPF), and Complex Non-Linear Waveform (CNL). Each mode is designed to simulate a distinct load condition, making the 4600-24 appropriate for a wide range of testing applications. The CC mode, for example, maintains a constant current draw, making it excellent for nonlinear and linear load testing, whilst the CNL mode allows users to construct complicated waveforms to prevent unit-under-test (UUT) overstressing during voltage collapses.
High accuracy measurements are another area in which the 4600-24 AC Electronic Load shines. It provides accuracy with voltage accuracy of ±0.1%, actual power accuracy of ±0.5%, and current accuracy of ±0.2%. These features simplify testing procedures and increase productivity by doing away with the requirement for several external measurement tools.
The device is operated by a PC-hosted graphic user interface (GUI), which substitutes a more extensive and user-friendly soft panel for the conventional front panel controls. This interface facilitates the construction and retrieval of up to 100-step multi-mode macros and enables real-time monitoring and control of voltage, current, and power waveforms. Fast changes in crest factor, power, and current are made possible by these macros, which make complex and dynamic testing scenarios possible.Other characteristics of the 4600-24 AC Electronic Loadinclude three-phase operation, remote voltage sensing, self-testing capabilities, and full protection against over-power, over-current, over-voltage, and under-voltage circumstances. The closed-cover calibration assures long-term accuracy by storing adjustments in EEPROM, while performance monitoring regularly checks important parameters, sending error messages and fault indicators as needed.
